Leather is a very unique, nature-made material. It is durable, versatile, and truly holds up to the test of time. In fact, leather actually looks better with wear! It will naturally absorb oils, giving it a beautiful weathered finish, the more the product is used. Fun fact: there is no other product like leather! It is virtually impossible to recreate the grain, breathability, and durability of genuine leather.

A majority of my rings are made of aluminum! I chose this material because it is lightweight, safe in water, and it won’t tarnish or turn your skin green. Most of my metal jewelry (excluding copper or gold items) is aluminum as well, for the same reasons. I have introduced some sterling silver to the shop recently, but I'll make it clear on those listings what they are!

Truthfully, not much care is required! It is best to keep your leather product away from water, but the occasional encounter won’t harm it. Leather will naturally absorb your body’s oils as it is handled, keeping it hydrated and in good shape.

However, extensive and repeated exposure to water will dehydrate leather, causing it to become hard & brittle. In the case that this starts to happen, you can somewhat revive it by oiling the leather. Common household oils such as olive oil or baby oil will do the trick! Apply one generous coat of oil using a paintbrush or sponge and allow it to soak in for a few hours before using the item again. This won’t reverse damage, but it will prolong the life of it.
